CAMP INFORMATION

Happy Hedgehog run holiday activities every school holiday for the local community. The days run from 9am to 3.30pm on weekdays. A typical day at camp includes a full warm up, skills sessions, competitions, small sided games and water breaks. Each day is carefully structured to give children the opportunity to learn new techniques, to enjoy sports and meet new friends.

Activities

Children will be split into age groups for the activities. Happy Hedgehog adheres to the 1:16 coach to participant ratios for all sports. The youngest groups have an assistant coach to support water and toilet breaks. All coaches and teachers have undertaken DBS clearance and are trained relevant to the activity they are coaching.  A supervised lunch takes place in the middle of the day. All children need to bring a packed lunch and plenty of fluids  (non fizzy!) for the day.

Clothing

Please ensure your child is appropriately dressed and wearing the correct footwear. Please ensure your child comes well equipped with shin pads and football boots/Astros if they wish to take part in football matches. Please equip your child with the following: sports bottoms or shorts, sports top or T-shirt, sweat top or track suit, trainers or astros, towel, rain jacket, cap and sun cream.

DANCE DIFFERENCES

The key difference with the Dance Camp (besides the dancing!) is that camp takes place over three days. This is a progressive camp meaning all three days must be attended with a small showcase performance at the end of the camp.
